Big income growth usually comes from doing less of this…
If you’ve been in my world for a little while, you know that I am a change nerd.
I spent my first career in change management consulting helping large companies change.
All of my degrees and training are focused on either business change, or human behavior change.
In my personal life, I have moved around more than most of my friends and family members can count.
And in my 7+ years in business, I’ve helped clients make some big changes in their businesses, like starting a 2nd business while still running the 1st, deciding to sell, deciding to close, countless pivots, and restructuring a business around a major life event like having a baby or getting a divorce.
So all of that is to say, I’m a big fan of change. And I think big change – the kind that you choose (not the kind that happens “to you”) – is really fascinating and fun.
But what I think most people miss…and what I hope my content doesn’t lead you to believe…is that big change is not the solution to every problem.
In business, this is especially true.
And while I am so here for supporting my clients through the big changes that are needed…I’m equally focused on helping my clients know specifically what to change, how much, and the hardest one… when to not touch it!
Too much change is one of the biggest factors I see slowing down revenue growth of small businesses.
And even worse, making a big change that solves a problem you don’t even have. 😳
If you’ve got big financial goals for 2025, you’ve got to make the right decision about what to change and what not to change.
